FC BARCELONA PLAYER THIAGO ALCANTARA SECOND PLACE IN 2011 "GOLDEN BOY AWARD"

Congratulations to Borussia Dortmund youngster MARIO GOETZE who was awarded by the Italian newspaper "Tuttosport" this years "GOLDEN BOY AWARD", or the "Best Under - 21 European Footballer".



The news has taken some back here in Spain, & perhaps in Barcelona,  as the "hot favourite" was FC BARCELONA & Spanish Football International midfielder THIAGO ALCANTRA. The Barça player finished 2º in the

The list of candidates that will opt for this years "GOLDEN BOY AWARD" has been handed in with a clear SPANISH FOOTBALL flavour. The Award has a "peculiar" title but is no less prestigious as it its the equivalente to the "FIFA GOLDEN BALL AWARD",  but in this case for Under-21 players.
