FC BARCELONA 5 - REAL MADRID 0 | FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY | VIDEO

REAL MADRID is currently leading FC BARCELONA by 6 points in the SPANISH LEAGUE classification table. Some over zealous fans & Madrid based media commentators are claiming  prematurely victory. They seem to have little knowledge of Football´s funny ways of changing week to week destinies,  & Football´s ability of taking you down from the top to the bottom in moments.

Tonight FC Barcelona plays

THE FOOTBALL COUNTER-ATTACK | CRISTIANO RONALDO - REAL MADRID GOAL AGAINST AJAX IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE | VIDEO

Yesterday during the REAL MADRID - AJAX Champions League match we had the chance to all witness a perfect text book example of the use of a "counter-attack" in Football. It occurred around the 23rd min & it all started from defender Sergio Ramos ending up with Cristiano Ronaldo 16 seconds later & goal. Here is the VIDEO:

For the youngsters & the technical profiles here is an image of the

Jayson Werth booed, then cheered, in return to Philadelphia

In one of the greatest mixed messages ever, Phillies fans first booed Jayson Werth in his return to Philly, then gave him a standing ovation:

Yeah, the guy sold out for more money, but it's hard to blame him. Thanks for a few good years, Werth. Now I hope you never get a hit in Philly again.

Phillies fans break out in U-S-A chants after hearing of death of Osama bin Laden

If this doesn't make you feel proud for your country, nothing will. Way to go, Phillies fans. Video via Mocksession.com.

Latest NHL History Will be Made video features Brian Boucher

The NHL unveiled their latest "History Will Be Made" video and it features our very own Brian Boucher after his performance in Game 3 for the Flyers:

Expect Sergei Bobrovsky or Michael Leighton to get his own commercial sometime down the road.

Another New Flyers "History Will be Made" Commercial

The NHL "History Will Be Made" campaign continues with another Flyers-centric video, this time featuring the Flyers epic comeback against the Bruins in the playoffs last year:

Definitely makes me miss Simon Gagne a little more.

New Flyers "History Will be Made" Commercial

The NHL has started up their "History Will be Made" campaign for the Stanley Cup Playoffs and they have unveiled their latest Flyers commercial featuring the team celebrating their 1974 Cup Championship:

Awesome.

Commercial: Roy misses Chooch

MLB 2K11 may not be the best baseball video game on the market but they have pulled off the best commercial of the season. Watch below as cover athlete Roy Halladay pines for Carlos Ruiz in the offseason to help him make decisions:

Scottie Upshall is a fan favorite no more

Despite being traded out of town nearly two years ago, Scottie Upshall has remained a crowd favorite in Philadelphia. Perhaps it was his role in helping the Flyers make a deep playoff run in 2008 or perhaps it was the way he was shown the door in a questionable trade for Dan Carcillo, but Upshall has been someone Flyers fans have always wished they had back.

Upshall undid all of that in his first game back in Philly when he laid the following questionable hit on Oskars Bartulis:

With one hit, Upshall became public enemy number one by Flyers fans as he was booed every time he touched the puck. He can forget about the welcome mat being laid out for him next time he comes to Philly.

As for Bartulis, the early word is that he has a shoulder injury and that we'll know more later. With Sean O'Donnell already out, look for the Flyers to hit the trade market looking for defensive depth should Bartulis miss any time.

UPDATE: Upshall was suspended two games by the league for this hit. Justice served.

Brent Celek's Captain Morgan Commercial

Brent Celek had a pretty substantial dip in production in the 2010 season, but that hasn't hurt his endorsement status. As you may remember, Celek did the Captain Morgan pose last year after scoring a touchdown against the Cowboys:

Now, he's in a commercial for Captain Morgan that discusses why he lifted up his leg:

I don't think any amount of rum will help him get over the dropsies he had last year.

FIGHT! Look for Andre Johnson to be suspended for Eagles game next week

The Eagles haven't even kicked off yet against the Bears but they may soon be getting some good news about their game next week. Due to the epic fight you see below, there is a good chance that Texans wideout Andre Johnson will be suspended for his next game, which just so happens to be against the Eagles next week. With the Eagles secondary dealing with their share of injuries, not having to deal with a beast like Johnson would be a huge break for the Birds.

At least Andre Iguodala can still throw it down

Yeah, so the Sixers pretty much suck. All the talk in the preseason about a new team culture and how Doug Collins was going to turn things around was just talk. While another season seems to be going down the drain, at least Andre Iguodala is still posterizing fools:

Andy Reid was one BIG kid

Holy cow, Andy Reid was one gigantic 13 year old. Look at the size advantage he had in this Punt, Pass and Kick competition:

I don't know how he couldn't win considering he was twice the size of the competition.

Eagles KO Austin Collie; was it a legal hit?

In the second quarter of the Eagles/Colts game, there was an ugly collision between Colts receiver Austin Collie and Eagles defensive backs Kurt Coleman and Quintin Mikell. On the play, the Eagles drew a penalty though the announcers and the CBS halftime crew all agreed that it was a clean hit. Here's the hit:

To me, I see an unfortunate injury on a clean hit. I know the league is trying to crack down on big hits but Coleman wasn't leading with his head. What say you?

Flyers pay tribute to Simon Gagne

To pay tribute to Simon Gagne, who made his return to Philadelphia as a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Flyers showed an awesome video:

The video debuted during the first period and received a huge standing ovation from the entire crowd. And I thought Philly fans were all supposed to be jerks?

Injury replacements: Eagles sign FB Schmitt, promote TE Mills

With Leonard Weaver and Jamaal Jackson placed on IR due to season ending injuries, the Eagles made a pair of moves today to fill their roster spots.

To replace Weaver, the Eagles signed former Seahawks fullback Owen Schmitt. Schmitt, a former 5th round pick, played in 30 games for Seattle and only had 21 yards rushing and 12 catches for 50 yards. Schmitt was cut by the Seahawks this preseason when they decided to not even have a fullback on the roster. He is probably best known for smashing a helmet against his head and busting it open:

The Eagles also promoted tight end Garrett Mills from the practice squad to the active roster. Mills will be the third tight end and even has some experience playing fullback in his career. His replacement on the practice squad will be offensive lineman Fenuki Tupou, who the Eagles cut at the end of preseason.
